CTV Viewerships Will Top 204 Million by 2022

Recent eMarketer estimates suggest Connected TV has become a mainstay in the way viewers watch television. Research suggests that by the end of 2018, 183 million people will watch CTV on a monthly basis, and by 2022 it is expected to top 204 million. These are the kinds of viewer numbers that should be enticing to any brand looking to improve their reach among the more than 33 million cord cutters in America today.

Yet some advertisers may still be hesitant to dive in, with network fragmentation being cited as a chief concern. Many of those nearly 200 million CTV viewers are watching different streaming services after all, which may make them hard to reach with a cohesive campaign. Thankfully this problem has been addressed by advertising platforms with access to numerous premium networks and streaming apps, opening up inventory across the CTV landscape, and ensuring advertisers will get the reach they are after.
