Bring on the Challenge

Taft wanted to increase site traffic and drive conversions among new shoppers by showcasing their unique collection of men’s boots and shoes. They needed an engaging format that would not only reach a wide audience, but also inspire users to take action.

Enter SteelHouse

SteelHouse kicked off the campaign by building a custom look-alike audience based on the attributes of customers who had recently made a purchase. Past purchasers and recent site traffic were then excluded from the audience to ensure the campaign was only reaching new users. The campaign leveraged the Mobile Feed placement, and was optimized for conversions using a seven-day click and one-day view window.

To ensure only the strongest creative was used, four ad units were split test. The first ad featured a shoe being stitched together, while the others showcased a number of shoes along with their name and price. Text was varied between each ad unit in order to ensure a compelling message was being delivered.

The Results

Taft generated  strong performance and reached over one million users with their Facebook Collections ads. The campaign generated a 1.66% CTR, and Taft saw a 73% increase in site traffic after launch, proving that the targeting had hit the mark.

Their display campaigns also saw a boost; they tripled their ROAS and cut their CPA by over 60% while the Collections campaign was active, proving the importance of running effective multi-channel campaigns.

Thanks to this success, Taft have increased their budget and plan to use the learnings from their Collections campaign to help guide their full-funnel creative strategies across social and display.
