Green Chef was looking to drive brand awareness among key audiences with compelling video content. Research showed that Connected TV was an excellent choice to achieve their goals.

According to Fluent’s “Streaming Survey,” 77% of millennials watch streaming services. Edison Research and Triton Digital found 64% of Americans own a Connected TV device. With these numbers in mind, and CTV’s full screen format, strong completion rate, and tendency to be played with audio on, Connected TV was the perfect fit to deliver Green Chef’s message to an engaged millennial audience.

Enter SteelHouse

SteelHouse kicked off the campaign by geo-targeting cities Green Chef identified as key markets. The campaign was then run for two weeks, where it reached consumers across streaming services.

The ad showcased millennial couples receiving their Green Chef deliveries, with a voice over explaining the benefits of choosing healthy, organic ingredients over ordering takeout or making a trip to the store. The ad then finishes with a compelling offer to prompt users to take action.

The Results

Green Chef saw strong results with CTV. The campaign served 437,264 impressions with a 92.7% completion rate, a testament to CTV’s ability to deliver the brand’s messaging in its entirety. Interestingly, the campaign also generated site traffic from 412 clicks, even though the ad was not clickable on most devices.

Thanks to the success of their CTV campaign, Green Chef now has another strong-performing channel where they can use video to reach their audience.
