As the year begins to wind down, we take stock of 2018 and look forward to the new year. Holiday campaigns are buzzing at the moment, building off the momentum of the biggest Black Friday and Cyber Monday in history. And while it appears this holiday season is going to be a smashing success, analysts are looking to 2019 with a less than rosy view, expecting ad spend to drop from previous estimates, due mostly to issues in the auto market and soft spending on consumer goods.
