Culver City Ad Tech Company Gets into Local Art Scene
LOS ANGELES, CA (Nov 21, 2014) – Marketing technology company, SteelHouse™ (www.SteelHouse.com) held the first of what is planned to be, a series of art shows in their new office space. Located near the Culver City art district, SteelHouse wanted to leverage their new 19,000 square foot space, designed by renowned architecture firm Rios Clementi Hale Studios, to help support the local community.
“We’re happy to share our space with the community that inspires our own creativity,” said Mark Douglas, President and CEO of SteelHouse.
The first show featured the work of Los Angeles based film producer and photographer Heather Rae, whose work includes the Academy Award nominated, “Frozen River,” and the acclaimed documentary, “Trudell.”
Her show titled, “Land and People,” looks at western landscapes and natural portraits from her life in LA. Kicking off with an opening night party, her work will remain on exhibit through the end of February.
“I was truly moved by the show of support at my opening. SteelHouse has an incredible space to host art, culture, and community,” said Rae.
Over 400 people attended the opening night exhibit, also featuring the music of local bluegrass group, Fair Market Band. “The night accomplished exactly what was intended – bringing together people from the startup community, local businesses, artists, producers, and actors – plus, who doesn’t love a great party?” said Anna McMurphy, Head of Events at SteelHouse.
