SteelHouse is one of the fastest growing online advertising companies in the country. LA-based, with a cool company vibe, SteelHouse is looking for a talented writer to create original content for our blog, website, and content marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for researching and writing fact-based, data-supported, original content on topics around digital marketing, the ad tech industry, advertising best practices, and more.

We will look to you to research trends and current events to contribute to our blog’s overall content plan and strategy. You will also be responsible for additional research to support your story as needed. Ability to develop your own story ideas based on competitive and industry research is a huge plus.

The ideal writer will have a combination of journalism and creative writing experience as well as knowledge of the digital advertising space. We are looking for someone who is able to write about our technology using a casual yet edgy tone. We want someone who can be handed a data set, make sense of it, and craft a story, case study, and/or white paper.

The position is contract with full time potential. Must work at least part time in our Culver City office.


  • Bachelors or associate degree in writing, communications, journalism, or marketing
  • 2+ years of copywriting/editorial writing experience
  • Experience researching topics and working with data sets in excel
  • Ability to document relevant research and interview sources
  • Must have unique voice to draw in audience
