SteelHouse To Support the “For Autistic Kids” Foundation at Twin Orchard’s 11th Annual Golf Benefit

This is the third year in a row that SteelHouse has supported the event and the foundation.
Autism is a lifelong neurological disorder and there is no cure yet. A total of nearly 300,000 children in the U.S. alone are affected and the rate of autism is increasing. One in every 88 children born in the U.S. will be affected – that is more children than are affected by diabetes, AIDS, cancer, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, and Down syndrome combined. Currently, in the U.S. more than 1.5 million individuals live with autism.
The “For Autistic Kids” Foundation was established to spread awareness and raise funds for the education of autistic kids an research for the early detection, prevention, and treatment and cute for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The foundation holds yearly golf benefit events as well as other events to fund its mission to assist autistic children who would not otherwise be afforded the same opportunities.
